Want to learn more about surgical monitors application?
Endoscope produces imaging mainly with predominantly red colors to support a wide color gamut in a red area which is beneficial. The color space on the surgical monitor is more than on a standard monitor. The area of the triangle is bigger. The three corners indicate the red, green and blue colors.
Therefore more shades of red can be displayed so more color contrast is available in the image.
Fewer reflections greatly improve the real visible greyscale resolution when displaying DICOM images such as X-Rays. The same is true for contrast in color images.
Anti-glare glass reduces the glare caused by spotlights or reflections of specific things. However, anti-reflection glass reduces the reflection rate when lightening is very bright and increases the usable contrast ratio, for example in high ambient light environments as in the operating room. This allows surgeons to improve operating imaging precision.
The surgical displays are capable of DICOM-accurate modality imaging for guided surgery. DICOM greyscale images provide higher effective contrast (more visible grey levels) with a higher brightness display.
DICOM compliance for accurate acquisition in OR Ships with accurate DICOM calibration and recalibration support using the Qubyx platform.
Guided surgery is in-OR imaging using X-Ray, CT etc. to guide the surgeon using more advanced imaging techniques. They allow for a more complete view than the lens of an endoscope permits.
I/O Cover to increase infection control and optimize cable routing. IPX1 ventilation hole and increasing airflow to improve performance.

The surgical environment often has the need for video output to multiple displays or to provide extra output for recording. Advantech’s PAX series of advanced medical-grade displays offer superior imaging and innovation for medical applications, such as clinical and surgical imaging. PAX series is featuring the latest display technologies combined with extensive connectivity, including 3G and 12G-SDI, a single-mode fiber optic interface, and various I/O.
Medical images can be displayed with greater accuracy, clarity, and detail to enable more precise diagnoses.
Want to integrate surgical monitors in your OR?
SDI is a common requirement for surgical displays because some major endoscope manufacturers use it as the primary output of their equipment. Near-zero delay between the time an image is produced and the time it is processed and displayed, ensuring excellent hand-eye coordination. Suitable for complex intelligent OR setups. Compared with HDMI, display port SDI allows for longer cable runs with lower latency. The common solution known as 3Gx4 also requires 4 cables to carry one 4K signal.
12G SDI PAX-327 / PAX-332 / PAX-355 This is 4K SDI in a single cable. Newer endoscopes also use this interface. One cable can also be DisplayPort or HDMI.
Advantech’s surgical monitors offer a simultaneous display of color and monochrome images on the same screen without sacrificing either of the two characteristics, which is very effective in large or widescreen format color displays in the OR environment.
